FINALLY, my girl Jennifer Aniston is breaking the silence! In an interview with Vogue, on newsstands Nov. 19, Jen spills it all on the relationship between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt … and the fact that Ange should just shut the eff up!
“There was stuff printed there that was definitely from a time when I was unaware that it was happening,” she says of comments Ange had made to the same magazine a year earlier. “I felt those details were a little inappropriate to discuss. … That stuff about how she couldn’t wait to get to work every day? That was really uncool.”
And her marriage to Brad?: “The marriage didn’t work out,” she tells the magazine. “Pretty soon after we separated, we got on the phone and we had a long, long conversation with each other and said a lot of things, and ever since we’ve been unbelievably warm and respectful of each other.”
She also opens up about her relationships post-Brad, and even discusses her on-again, off-again love John Mayer!
“People need to mind their own business,” she says. However, she does understand the sudden interest – ya know, because she’s a “cougar” and all. For all of you who don’t follow this religiously like I do, Jen is 9 years older than John.
The duo met at an Oscar party last February, and the actress admits that she “barely knew his music.” But, they began dating, and she even followed him on a couple of his tour stops.
SO, what were her thoughts on the relationship? “You know, it isn’t designed,” she says. “Love just shows up and you go, ‘Oh, wow, this is going to be a hayride and a half.’ ”
She continues, saying, “It’s funny when you hit a place in a relationship and you both realize [that] we maybe need to do something else, but you still really, really love each other. It’s painful. There was no malicious intent. I deeply, deeply care about him; we talk, we adore one another. And that’s where it is.”
Despite the fact that tabloids have called her “clingy” and “unlucky in love,” she says that couldn’t be more “off-base.”
“This whole ‘Poor lonely Jen’ thing, this idea that I’m so unlucky in love? I actually feel I’ve been unbelievably lucky in love,” she says.
