Mama Spears Discusses Her New Book September 10, 2008

Lynne Spears, who’s mother to two famous children (Britney & Jamie Lynn – duh) and son Bryan, is set to reveal a whole lot in her upcoming book Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World, which hits bookshelves on September 16.

My birthday — buy it for me.

Anyway, she writes about the highs and lows that her family encountered on their journey from their hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana to Hollywood.

“Every mother makes mistakes,” she writes, “and I’m no different.”

She told People that she decided to write the memoir because she “wanted the truth out in my own words for myself and my family.” And don’t fret – the book goes into detail about Britney’s highly publicized breakdowns, to Jamie Lynn’s pregnancy at the age of 16, an ordeal that she says “was probably the hardest time of my life.”

While Britney and Bryan have yet to read the book, Jamie Lynn has. “Jamie Lynn loved the book. I started to cry because I told her, ‘I wanted so much for you to like it.’ And she got up and kissed me on the cheek and said, ‘Mama, thank you so much.'”

Usmagazine.com also has an impressive list as to what Lynne covered in her book.

I personally can’t wait to read this book. Love the Spears family.
