Leighton’s Hidden Past September 6, 2008

Filed under: Leighton Meester — Alexandra @ 4:23 pm

Perez Hilton was the first to report that Leighton Meester was part of a drug scandal. According to Star magazine, Leighton was born in jail.

Her mother was apparently serving a federal prison sentence in Texas for a major drug-running ring and was allowed to stay in a halfway house to give birth, but had to return to the prison on THE DAY Leighton turned three months old.

And, according to the posts, Leighton’s mom isn’t the only family member involved in drugs. Her father, grandfather, and aunt were also jailed for dealing drugs.

It’s like a real-life version of an episode of Gossip Girl. Scandalousssss.

However, other reports are surfacing that Mama Connie Meester is planning to release a memoir. Her manager said she began writing the story as a screenplay 3 or 4 years ago, but has since changed it from a script to a memoir.

On top of that, Leighton seems to be okay with this situation. “Leighton and her mom are very close. Connie has had a spectacular life,” said Connie’s manager.

“The book will reportedly tell Connie’s life journey from drug ring co-conspirator to suburban real estate agent to author and, of course, to the rearing of her TV star child,” said the report from eonline.com

Stay tuned.
