Hugh Jackman to Host Oscars! December 13, 2008

Yay, more award show season news!

But, a rather interesting choice, no?

Hugh Jackman is the chosen one. He has been tapped to host the Oscars on February 22.

“Hugh Jackman is a consummate entertainer and an internationally renowned movie star,” said producer Laurence Mark and executive producer Bill Condon in a joint statement. “He also has style, elegance and a sense of occasion. Hugh is the ideal choice to host a celebration of the year’s movies – and to have fun doing it.”

I don’t think he’s the best choice for it, but my voice doesn’t count now does it? Those bastards…

Tara Reid Enters Rehab! December 13, 2008

Tara Reid’s rep Jack Ketsoyan told People exclusively that the actress has checked into rehab.

“Tara Reid has checked herself into Promises Treatment Center. We appreciate your respect to her and her family’s privacy at this time,” stated her rep.

The reason(s) why she checked herself into rehab haven’t been disclosed, nor is it clear whether or not she’ll be spending the holidays in rehab.

A friend of Tara’s has already made a visit to the treatment center on Tuesday and said, “Her friends and family are supportive of her decision. She checked in herself – it was her decision.”

Hopefully, it will all work out in the end. She was once a promising star (and a fellow Bergen County New Jerseyan), so I personally hope all is well with Tara!
