More Heidi and Spencer Crap… November 27, 2008

heidi-and-spencer

So while Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt were busy getting married in Mexico, MTV was there filming it all for an episode of The Hills..

Conveeeeenient.

“MTV is currently filming Heidi and Spencer in Mexico, as we were expecting to capture them on vacation,” the show’s executive producer, Liz Gateley, tells MTV. “Fans will be able to see the exclusive footage from the ceremony in an upcoming episode, and we will continue to follow the newlyweds’ relationship as it plays out in real life.”

Uh huh.

And what about the fact that, according to the laws in Mexico, a couple must go through a whole mess of crap (including blood tests and paperwork) in order for the marriage to be legit internationally.

So is Speidi legally married? Who the hell cares knows? Perhaps they just set up a nifty photo op for Us Weekly.

Pete Wentz Talks Baby! November 26, 2008

New dad Pete Wentz has opened up to Ryan Seacrest on his radio show about his new son Bronx Mowgli, and how, when his wife Ashlee Simpson went into labor, it felt like he was going to have a “heart attack.”

  • On Bronx’s middle name: “The Jungle Book was something that me and Ashlee bonded over. It’s a cool name.”
  • On Bronx’s first name (kind of): “We came up with the idea Bronx. We’ve been throwing [ideas] back and forth a while. It’s kind of cool to just leave the narrative what it is. People are stoked or pissed or whatever. And you’re like, you know what: I don’t think anyone really has the real story.”
  • When asked if his son’s name was real, because his initials are BMW: “No, no, no, it definitely is his name, but I don’t think anybody knows what the real story is of why or how.”
  • On how Ashlee handled the birth better than he did: “Right before she went into labor, I was like, ‘Oh, my god, I think I’m having a heart attack.’ My heart started beating real fast. You see your wife is in all this pain. And I don’t know what’s happening right now. She took care of me and made sure I was okay and then went into labor. That’s why she’s a saint.”

Britney’s Rolling Stone Cover! November 26, 2008

Looking like her old self again, Britney Spears graces the cover of Rolling Stone’s next issue, which comes out on Friday.

And like anyone on her way to a comeback, she reveals quite a lot. Here are some excerpts from the article:

  • “I feel like an old person now.I do! I go to bed at, like, 9:30 every night, and I don’t go out or anything.”
  • On dating: “Right when we got there, we just knew it was just bad. He looked like an older version of Harry Potter, but skinnier. … So I had to get dessert first. And the other date I had, the guy was really, really tall and a lot older. … We’re trying to ask him questions, like, ‘OK, you’re into martial arts, so what kind of martial arts are you into?’ And he was like, ‘Oh, all kinds.’ “
  • On her children: They “are starting to learn words like ’stupid,’ and Preston says the f-word now sometimes. He doesn’t get it from us. He must get it from his daddy. I say it, but not around my kids.”

Currently, BritBrit is overseas promoting her highly anticipated album Circus, and she’ll be spending Thanksgiving there as well.

But she’ll be back in the U.S. on December 2, for her album’s release (and her 27th birthday) and will perform live on Good Morning America.

AND, she just debuted the album’s title track on Z100 earlier today.

SJP Talks About the ‘Sex and the City’ Sequel! November 25, 2008

Filed under: Movie News, Sarah Jessica Parker — Alexandra @ 1:20 am

Good news for Sex and the City fans! It looks as though the sequel to the uber successful film is looking at 2010 release!

“I think it’s a realistic timetable,” Sarah Jessica Parker told MTV News. “That’s when we’d start shooting to be out in 2010. But that means we need to figure this out in the next couple of months.”

Everyone is still very much in the process of getting everything together: including the actual script and storylines for Carrie, Miranda, Charlotte, and Samantha.

“We’ve had very general conversations about the idea,” she said. “That’s the big hurdle: the idea. The studio is very enthusiastic, which is lovely and seductive. We’re at the place where (writer/director) Michael (Patrick King) has a wealth of stories so now it’s, ‘We think we have this story and how do we put this together and are we completely sure that it’s the right thing to do?’”

MTV then asked the actress whether or not motherhood was in the near future for Carrie, but SJP said it wasn’t too likely. “It doesn’t seem as if that’s going to be a choice she’ll make. I don’t know. Michael and I never talk about it. That doesn’t mean that won’t be part of the story. We just haven’t figured it out. It feels a little bit manipulative to toss that into the mix, because she seems so pointed in a different direction.”

Other quotes from the interview:

  • On younger fans of SATC: “I worry about that a lot. Really young women tell me they watch the show, and my response is always to gasp,” she admitted. “Times have changed. I gather that ‘Gossip Girl’ is pretty sophisticated, and that’s there for their viewing pleasure as well. Young women are a lot different than I was. I relished being sheltered. I can’t believe some of the subject matter doesn’t make them cringe or embarrass them.”
  • On Miley Cyrus being a possible candidate to portray the younger Carrie Bradshaw in Candace  Bushnell’s prequel series IF they’re turned into a film or series: “I hadn’t thought of that,” Parker said. “I still just picture me shorter. (Candace) has probably thought a lot about Carrie’s teen years. I just haven’t, because we made the conscious choice to not think about a life prior to New York City. But I’d be curious to see who might be right if it turns into something for TV.”

Heidi and Spencer Elope! November 24, 2008

heidi-and-spencer-married-us-weekly

Ugh, they’re a pair of idiots. And they get on my last damn nerve.

Famewhores Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt of The Hills got married in Vegas Mexico. “The minute we said our vows, I couldn’t stop crying,” said Heidi to Us Weekly – which, by the way, features the duo on the cover of their next issue (see pic above, duh). UM. HOW DO THEY GET THIS SHIT SO FAST?!

For those who are interested, here are the details of the “wedding.” They wed at the One & Only Palmilla Resort, just outside Cabo San Lucas, and the ceremony (which wasn’t planned) was held on the beach.

The couple were actually on vacation in Mexico when they decided to marry on a whim. Yea right, which is why Us Weekly was probably (and conveniently) there at the ceremony in order to make it a cover story.

No family members present for the ceremony, which lasted only 15 minutes. However, lots of people sure had a lot to say about the nuptials.

  • Spencer’s sister, Stephanie Pratt told In Touch Weekly, “I am not surprised! I knew they would, and Cabo is definitely where they would do it.”
  • Heidi’s dad Bill told People, “I would be upset if she got married and didn’t invite me!” And when asked what would happen if the rumors were true, he said, “Then we just have to have another wedding here!”
  • Even Audrina Patridge spoke about the news, saying, “I’m so happy for them! When we all hang out, those two cannot keep their hands off each other. They are so in love and have stuck by each others side. I can’t wait to see pictures!”

The nauseating couple even released the VOWS they said to each other at the ceremony. Uh, barf! Who the hells releases their wedding vows?! Stupid.

Spencer’s vows: “Heidi, from the moment you came into my life, I knew my life would never be the same without you. You are the light in my life like the sun to the earth! Your loving warmth makes me want to be a better person. Being with you, I feel complete. I’m honored to even be able to call you my wife. You are the most amazing, loving and caring woman on this planet. I will love you forever and always.”

Heidi’s vows: “From the moment I met you, I knew I wanted to marry you. I never knew love existed like this. You have opened my eyes and shown me a new world. Every moment with you is magical and amazing. You are truly my prince charming and dream guy. I love you with all my heart and soul and promise to be the best wife to you every day for the rest of our lives. I can’t wait to see what life brings us. I will always be by your side!”

Someone who’s definitely NOT thrilled about their sudden rush to the altar is Heidi’s mom, who has made it very clear that she’s not Spencer’s biggest fan:

“I called her right before the ceremony, sort of hinted that something that happened, but her reaction was to ask me if we were breaking up! I told her it might be something else, and she said, ‘Well, if you ever plan on getting married just know that your stepdad is really upset that you want your father to walk you down the aisle,’” Heidi tells Us Weekly.

Pick up the new issue of Us Weekly on Wednesday for more details on the wedding.

Twilight Takes a Bite Out of the Box Office! November 23, 2008

Holy crap. This Twilight craze is neverending!

Twilight’s opening weekend was among one of the biggest in Hollywood history, raking in $70.6 million.

“This is a game-changer. This is an industry-changing performance,” Exhibitor Relations analyst Jeff Bock said today. “…With the success of Sex and the City, and Mamma Mia!, we’ve awoken a sleeping giant at the box office.”

75 percent of the movie’s audience was female and box office stats show the movie is the biggest opener for a movie directed by a woman (Catherine Hardwicke).

And yes, a sequel is in the works! Obviously.
